MONUMENTS

Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, aptly called the
precursor of the Taj Mahal. Drive past Safdarjung’s Tomb, and visit the
Qutab Minar, 72 meters high and one of the perfect towers of the Persian
world. Nearby amidst the ruins of the Quwut-ul-Islam stands the Iron
Pillar which has stood the vagaries of weather and not rusted over 1500
years. Drive past – India Gate.

OLD DELHI TOUR

Delhi is an ancient city, formerly the site of
eight different cities. All these cities were built in different periods
of history, but at the same place. Various monuments from these
different periods of history still exists and are in good form. The old
city of Delhi houses the largest mosque in India - Jama Masjid. If you
seek serenity and peace of mind, this is the place for you. The hustle
of everyday life can be savoured in Chandni Chowk’s narrow by-lanes. Its
small shops, reminders of an era when this was Delhi’s main market
place, offer a wide variety of typically Indian wares such as bangles,
attar (Indian perfume), incense etc. Also visit Shah Jehan’s Red Fort,
whose ramparts bore witness to the coming of the British and now proudly
proclaim the independence of India, every August 15.

TEMPLE TOUR

The Lotus Temple is the most captivating edifice
situated in Southern part of New Delhi. Shaped like a lotus and the
temple is worth exploring. Built by the Baha`i community,
it offers the visitor a serenity that pervades the temple
and its artistic design. Lunch – at the
Lotus Temple.The Akshardham monument, built of sandstone and
marble is one of the wonders of the modern India.
It consists of 234 ornately carved pillars, 9 ornate domes, 20
quadrangled shikhars, a spectacular Gajendra
Pith (plinth of stone elephants) and 20,000 murtis and statues of
India's great sadhus, devotees, and divine
personalities.The monument is a fusion of several architectural
styles of pink stone and pure white marble.

MUSEUM TOUR

Relics of India’s 5000 year old history : see them
at the National Museum on Janpath which has an excellent collection of
ancient Indian bronzes, terracotta and wood sculptures dating back to
the Maurya period (2nd-3rd century) fine examples from the kingdom of
south of India and archaeological finds form the Indus valley
civilizations. Also visit the National Museum of Natural History.

ANAND GRAM TOUR - SANSKRITI

Visit to Anand Gram, the artist's village on the
outskirts of Delhi. The village has been set up to promote and encourage
young artists with creative talents. An exciting and unusual

- Tour cost is based on a minimum of 10 persons
traveling in a group. For all tours with less than 10 persons,
additional cost will be advised
- Tour price includes sightseeing as per tour
description by airconditioned transportation, English speaking guide.
- Meals are not included in the tour price, unless
specified in the tour description.
- Tour price does not include entrance fee, camera
charges etc.
- No refund of the tour cost will be made for any
tour cancellation received after 15th August’ 2006.
