Paper Title: Asian Wind Power Resource Map

Abstract of the paper

The wind resource map of Asia was created using meteorological numerical model. The purpose of the wind resource map is to facilitate the development of wind energy for utility-scale generation.

The map was made by LOCALS, which is dynamical meso-scale weather model to simulate wind and weather condition.

The map indicate that good to excellent wind resource areas for large-scale wind generation can be found in the mountain and/or coastal area of Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan Is., Philippines, Laos and Vietnam.
