Paper Title: Conergy Small Wind Turbine for Remote Power
Supply
|
Abstract of the paper
|
|
Small Wind Turbines come forward as an economical alternative
for decentralised electrification in rural regions, especially when
combined with other sources such as photovoltaic or diesel generators. A
critical point however is that they should require as low maintenance
as possible, resist harshest environmental conditions and allow for
local servicing.
|
|
The 6 kW Conergy Small Wind Turbine SWT has been developed,
adapted and installed in several countries for nearly twenty years
responding to these needs and has proven to be best adapted to remote
energy supply. The Conergy SWT operates totally without use of
electronic, and with only simple mechanic, which makes it highly
reliable. Thanks to the Conergy patented passive pitch control, the
turbine automatically regulates itself, especially by extreme winds, and
guarantees high robustness by mere mechanical principles. Moreover, the
machine can be easily self installed or laid down for maintenance
thanks to a cable winch system.
