Paper Title: Studies on the Ability of Jilin Provincial
Grid to Accommodate Wind Generation
|
Abstract of the paper
|
|
This paper presents the studies of large scale wind power
integration into Jilin provincial grid. The regions with abundant wind
resources in China are generally located far away from the load center
with a weak grid configuration, therefore issues such as transmission
line overloading, local grid voltage level decreasing, and transient
stability change could emerge with large scale wind power integration.
As well, the power system dispatching and operation are influenced by
the intermittent wind power, which should be regulated by the system
power reserve. The studies are carried on through the digital simulation
approach, which includes the contrast between regional load demand and
generated wind power profiles, the impacts on Jilin grid and its
capability to admit the wind power of this region. The main approaches
and conclusions are illustrated in this paper and the measures to deal
with the emerged issues are presented finally.
