To identify the problems due to lightning.To collect the experience of all the major players in terms of old & new designs of wind turbine & associated electronics. Methods to evaluate the risk of lightning damage-Cost Vs benefit analysis.

Protection of electronic systems as per IEC TC-Technical Committee recommendations. Also Electrical & Electronics system protection as per IEC 62305-4: Protection against lightning.IEC 62305 was released in january 2006.
